The Life Readiness Program (LRP) is a community-based program that takes place at the Residences at Durham College. LRP is an overnight experience where participants are welcomed at 9:00am on Monday and are ready for pick up at 4:00pm on the Friday of their designated week.
The highlights of this sought after program are promotion of skill development in the following areas: meal planning and prep, budgeting, shopping, using public transit, community awareness/safety, personal wellness, social skill development and so much more!
If you are or know a person who is 18 years or older, have a developmental disability, are interested in meeting new friends, exploring your community, and learning new skills to promote your independence, we hope you apply!
