Dear Family members:
I am writing to you on behalf of The Participation House Project (Durham Region) about the necessary safeguards that we are having to put in place to address the Covid-19 pandemic, specifically the widespread risks associated with Omicron, its impacts and demands on our staffing.
We are extending our temporary closures for in-person Community Programs at Giffard and online programs for the remainder of January 2022. We are hopeful that Community Programs will resume in February.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we redeploy our community support staff into our residential programs. As always our number one priority, is a commitment to ensuring the health and safety of our staff, supported people and our community.
