Dear Family Member:
During these challenging times of great stress and uncertainty and after weeks and months of working very hard to prevent the spread of COVID 19 into the homes of the people we support, we now are faced with the fact that one of the residents living at 114 Concession St. Bowmanville received a positive diagnosis of this virus.
The person started experiencing symptoms on earlier this week and attended testing on Tuesday February 2, 2021. We received the results this morning.
Since the onset of symptoms, the individual immediately went into self-isolation and outbreak protocol measures have been implemented.
All those who have been in contact with this person prior their placement in isolation. Have been contacted and we are now following the direction from the Durham Region Public Health unit.
Let us assure you that The Participation House Project (Durham Region) is working closely with the Durham Region’s Health Unit in continuing the implementation of protective measures to contain exposure given the vulnerable population we serve. We will continue to follow the guidance of Durham Region Health unit staff to keep our employees and the individuals we support safe.
If you have a question as to well being of your loved one, please contact the Service Manager at the location where your family member resides.
Stay safe, Stay well
